Nsoater ICT research center in a shabby state

Nsoatre ICT center has been abandoned for nearly two and half year, while the community is constrained and struggles to meet the demand for internet or a research center for the area. The nsoatre ICT center is the only ICT center in the community and its caters for about thousand people.

This very project was established in 2008/2009 by the then Brong Ahafo regional minister Hon.Ignatius Baffour-Awuah  administration which served the community for less than 3years and was abandoned due to the lack of poor managerial and lack of funds.
Whiles authorities were making frantic efforts to the facility were let to no use due to bad/poor management. Honorable Daniel Gyabaah who is the assemblyman a lecturer at the sunyani technical university recounted to Naymeida.

On account to 2008/2009 the MP for sunyani west Hon. Ignatius Baffour-Awuah lead a delegation to put up an ICT research center for Nsoatre community in the sunyani west district with the aim to help students in the community to equip skills in technology and access information. The facility in the past 2 and half years has been close down, in an exclusive interview with Naymedia the assemble member for the area (Ahenfie  Electoral Area) Hon.Daniel Gyabaah who is also a lecture at sunyani  technical university (civil engineering department) mentioned that the facility was abundant  before he came into power in 2015 but has call upon the assembly to make all necessary arrangement to revive the facility which has been close down due to poor managerial problems and misuse of funds at the center.

He feather explain that upon his research into the matter, funds which was generated were not even up to 50% of the cost of utilities to be paid for each month due to poor management and called on the assembly to put good measures in place when the facility is revived. He also called for permanent staff to run the facility which he believes will help keep the center in a good shape to continue to help students in the community.

Hon. Gyabaah noted that students from different schools were using the facility during their I.C.T period to learn, which help the community both educational and commercial purposes, which to him was in the right direction to help train student to be equipped with knowledge in ICT .
Concluding, he continued by explaining that most of the computers and equipment at the center has broken down and need to be reinstalled to function properly not withstanding we will need new once.
The assemble member lamented that there will be a need for sensitization  after the center has been revived and called on all authorities in the community to come to their aid in support of the course.
